Jamestown Regional Medical Center recognized for excellence in patient care

Jamestown, ND, — Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has been recognized with a 2023 Performance Leadership Award for Excellence in Quality and Patient Perspective by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The two awards honor top quartile performance in each category among rural hospitals. The honorees were announced by Chartis on National Rural Health Day, which is recognized each year on the third Thursday of November. Rural Health Day is celebrated to draw attention to the work being done in rural communities and the positive impact it has on health-related issues.

"National Rural Health Day is about celebrating the power of rural and recognizing the dedication of rural hospitals and health care providers to their communities," said Michael Topchik, National Leader of The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

The Performance Leadership Awards are determined each year using iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®, the industry's most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. INDEX data is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems and policymakers nationwide to provide insights into rural health trends and guide strategic decision making.

Award recipients are determined based on performance across a variety of areas, including inpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs and charges. JRMC was recognized for top performance among its peers in inpatient quality measures and patient satisfaction scores.
