WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:

*Farmers Market will be held every Monday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m. in the Rosebud parking lot in Valley City through November 1st tentatively based on weather.

*Barnes County Museum, is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The museum is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional information.

*Midland Continental Depot, in Wimbledon, ND, will be open Thursday thru Saturday 1-4 p.m. and by appointment Sunday thru Wednesday through Labor day.

*Barnes County Municipal Court will continue to following CDC guidelines at the Barnes County Courthouse asking that vaccinated visitors do not have to wear a mask but do ask non-vaccinated visitors to continue wearing a mask.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM-3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701845-0072.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointment only by going online to dot.nd.gov or calling 1-855-633-6835.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule: Monday 8 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Wednesday noon, Friday noon, Saturday 8 p.m. For more information call 701-845-3705. The meetings are held at 320 2nd Ave SE in Valley City.

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 10 a.m. Circle Time, 10:30 a.m. Story Hour, 4 p.m. Book Club.

• BC Senior Center Menu/ Activities: Pork chop, mashed potatoes & gravy, peas, fruity pebbles treat. 9:30 a.m. Bone Builders exercise, 1:15 p.m. Whist.

• VCSU Homecoming Dance will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club.

Thurs., Sept. 30

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 1:15 p.m. Movie “Spiderman - Homecoming.”

• BC Senior Center Menu/ Activities: Cabbage roll, parmesan potatoes, wax beans, apricots. 1-2 p.m. CCHD Flu Shot Clinic.

Fri., Oct. 1

• VCSU Ployhar Honor Band will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Vangstad Auditorium.

• VCSU Homecoming Alumni Welcome Back Ice Cream Social will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Student Center along with campus tours, hall of fame social and hall of fame banquet and ceremony.

• Memory Gardens asks that all flowers and decorations be removed, and vases returned, by October 1st.

Sat., Oct. 2

• VCSU 2021 Homecoming will be held October 2nd facing off against Mayville State at 2 p.m. on Shelly Ellig Lokken Field. The annual VCSU homecoming parade will be held Oct. 2nd at 10:30 a.m. on Central Avenue. Contact Brooke Yanish at 701845-7122 if you, or your organization are interested in joining the parade.

• Fall Craft and Vendor Event will be held October 2nd from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Tower City Community Center in Tower City, ND. St. Paul’s Lutheran WELCA will be selling caramel roll for breakfast and baked potato bar for lunch. There is no admission for the event and it is open to the public.

Sun., Oct. 3

• St. Mary’s Fall Supper will be held October 3rd from 4-7 p.m. serving a turkey dinner with homemade sauerkraut. Served family style with takeout meals available along with unique gift baskets and decorated pumpkins for sale. The church is located 6 miles east of Dazey, ND.

Mon., Oct. 4

• APOC Spaghetti Fundraiser will be held October 4th from 5-7 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club. Watch your TR for more information.

Tues., Oct. 5

• VCSU General Student Recital will be held at 11 a.m. at Froemke.

Fri., Oct. 8

• VCSU Fall Choral Showcase will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Vangstad Auditorium.

• DAV 61st annual fall auction Friday, October 8th, 7 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club. For more information contact Eldred Knutson at 701.845-4694.

Sat., Oct. 16

• CHI Mercy Health Foundation hosts Oktoberfest on October 16th from 5:30-10 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club. Watch for more details in your TR.

Sun., Oct. 17

• St. John’s Methodist Church in Wimbledon will host a turkey supper with all the trimming on October 17th from 4-7 p.m., bazaar will open at 3:30 p.m. with baked goods, produce and craft items.

Tues., Oct. 19

• VCSU General Student Recital will be held at 11 a.m. at Froemke.
