*VCPS Free Summer Meal Pickup: Valley City Public Schools Nutrition Services is hosting Free Meal PickUp again this summer. Beginning June 1st and lasting through August 13th, staff will provide free meal pickup for children ages 1-18 or through high school graduation and up to age 21 for children involved in special education services.

2nd ave NW *Barnes County Museum, is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The musuem is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional information.

*Midland Continental Depot, in Wimbledon, ND, will be open Thursday thru Saturday 1-4 p.m. and by appointment Sunday thru Wednesday through Labor day. In honor of Peggy Lee and the museum there will be birthday cake and coffee on May 26th for all to enjoy.

*Barnes County Municipal Court will continue to following CDC guidelines at the Barnes County Courthouse asking that vaccinated visitors do not have to wear a mask but do ask non-vaccinated visitors to continue wearing a mask.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM-3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701845-0072.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointment only by going online to dot.nd.gov or calling 1-855-633-6835.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule: Monday 8 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Wednesday noon, Friday noon, Saturday 8 p.m. For more information call 701845-3705. The meetings are held at 320 2nd Ave SE in Valley City.

June 18 & 19

• 37th Rally in the Valley Weekend is coming to Valley City on Father’s Day weekend 2021. It kicks off at 8 a.m. on June 19, when runners and walkers will take part in the 37th Annual

Bill Jansen Road Race/ Walk at Hi-Line Park (sponsored by the local Optimist Club). Food and craft vendors will open their booths to the community at 9 a.m. that day on Central Avenue, followed by a 10 a.m. parade. The Bridge City Cruisers Car Show commences at 11 a.m. on June 19, continuing until 5 p.m., and the ever-popular Duckin’ Down the Sheyenne Rubber Duck Race will begin at 3:30 p.m. in City Park near the footbridge.
