Hi-Liner Softball team falls to Red River in EDC Tourney

The Valley City Hi Liner softball team came into the Eastern Dakota Conference tournament playing well, three wins in the last four games and earned the sixth seed in the tournament. Grand Forks Red River came into the tourney winners of nine of the last eleven games are earned the third seed. The two teams met in the first round of the EDC tournament and Red River came away with a 10-0 win in five innings.

Valley City is now 5-8 overall and will play Grand Forks Central on Friday in an elimination game in West Fargo. The Hi-Liners beat the Knights 10-7 in the regular season finale.
